The Affordable Portable Loudbox Mini 60 Watt Acoustic Amplifier From Fishman
September 2010 brings the latest in acoustic amplification from Fishman Transducers, the Loudbox Mini. Fishman only manufactures superior electronic amplification products for acoustic instruments. The latest in the Fishman portable amplifier line up is the 2 channel Loudbox Min. This is the smallest in the Loudbox line at 12 inches tall, less than 14 inches wide and slightly under 10 inches deep. The 20 pound Mini uses a 6-1/2 inch woofer and a 1 inch tweeter to handle the 60 watt blast of clean sonic power. There is a built in 10 degree angle for greater sonic dispersion on the professional looking brown box.
The legendary clean, balanced, transparent Fishman sound is made manifest through 2 channels. The front panel is divided into 2 control centers, one for instrument and one for microphone.There is a ¼ input jack on the instrument side. The little switch next to the input is a phase switch which can boost the bass or suppress feedback according to the manual. Next in line are the gain, low, mid, and high controls. These controls cut or boost as required. At 12 o'clock the knob is not affecting the sound. Turn left to cut, turn right to boost. Simple and effective. Moving right are found the reverb and chorus knobs. 2 presets are controlled by the chorus. XLR input, and gain, low, high, reverb and master controls are found on the microphone channel. The power on light sits at right of the master knob.
There is another ¼ inch jack and a CD or MP3 input on the back side of the amp. You can send a signal to the board or a slave amp with the Mix DI output on the rear panel.
